We hit a couple spots today and had lock and load fishing with both spots producing very good bites and a boat limit of sea bass with a fantastic keeper ratio and a very nice grade to the fish!No matter, we turned our attention a bit shallower and finished up the day fishing for trigger fish and put a nice box of 21 triggers including some big slabs in the box!September 16, 2014Jay, Jim, Pat, Ron, Don, and Chuck were aboard today for an open boat fluke trip.

Fishing was very steady throughout the trip with the best keeper to throwback ratio of the year and the guys put a boat limit of fluke together in short order with fish to 7 plus pounds!

With the fluke bite about done, we decided to do a mixed bag trip and boy was it a good time!We had non stop action the whole trip and ended up with a beautiful cooler of mixed fish including 19 big trigger fish, a few big croakers, a few nice porgies, a few blowfish, and a bunch of 1lb bluefish.

We found ourselves starting the day in 15 to 20 knots of south wind and heavy rain. Ironically, this is when the fluke bit the best for us.
